Grady Sizemore Gives the Sox a Walkoff Win

So, I need to start posting more Red Sox blogs.  I’ve been distracted by the Bruins, but if they’re going to suck like they did tonight, I have no excuse not to.

The Red Sox beat the Reds tonight in 12, and Sizemore stepped up for what seems like the first time since the season’s first week, going 3-6 including the walkoff in the bottom of the 12th.  Junichi Tazawa gave up the lead by relinquishing 2 runs in the top of the 8th, because there was no way that either Boston sports team wasn’t gonna give us a heart attack tonight.

Felix Doubront pitched a pretty respectable 5.1 innings while giving up just 1 earned run.  Other notables include Andrew Miller pitching tw perfect innings while striking out four, which is pretty badass.  David Ortiz and Dustin Pedroia both got on base four times, because of course they did.  Will Middlebrooks went 0-5, because of course he did.

Sox are now 16-17.  That’s good, I guess…
