Bruins get bitchslapped against Montreal and then kill Edmonton, despite Ben Scrivens playing really well for the first 2.5 periods. How?
It sucks to admit this, but Montreal is a bad matchup for Boston. I’m actively rooting against having to play them first round.
Soderberg still looks like a beast. $1 million this year and $1 million next is robbery by Chiarelli. Remember, he was traded for Hannu Toivenen. Too bad Felger and Mazz are still gonna call him a shitty GM whenever their listeners need something to whine about.
As for the Celtics, they lost to the 76ers in a key loss. They then ruined that lack of momentum by beating Orlando. Dammit.
I know that Brad Stevens is wired to win always, but I hope he realizes that he’ll have better players to win going forward if they just suck for about 30 games. Especially once the deadline is past, if Jeff Green and others who actually play significant minutes are here, they should cut their playing time due to “rest,” since there will be no trades to advertise them for.
Also, yeah, the Super Bowl sucked, but let’s not use that as an excuse to write 839573 things about Manning’s legacy. We can’t say that the Pats will be back next year, and that we’ll always have a chance with Brady and Belichick and then say that the Brady-Manning debate is over, either. They both have a lot left in the tank, so shut up and enjoy it.
The Seattle defense though… Holy shit.
And I’ll be back to blogging more often, starting with the Canucks-Bruins game in Boston tomorrow night.
